Behind the name are husband-and-wife team Jesse and Katie Kath. Jesse founded Jkath more than fifteen years ago with a vision for creating beautiful, enduring spaces. Katie, CEO and Creative Director, leads the design vision with a deep appreciation for classic architecture, honest materials, and interiors that feel collected rather than constructed. Her approach blends intuition with experience, finding the balance between old-home charm and modern-day performance. She believes every home deserves a point of view and every client deserves honesty, guidance, and a collaborative partner who truly listens. Jesse, COO and General Contractor, brings the build side to life with an unmatched dedication to precision and integrity. A true craftsman at heart, Jesse oversees construction, field operations, and the custom cabinetry shop with a steady hand and a commitment to doing things the right way, even when it’s the longer way. His deep knowledge of historic homes, structural challenges, and finish carpentry ensures the design vision isn’t just possible, but executed to the highest standard. He’s the guy who can see a problem before it exists and solve it before the client even knows it was there. Together, Katie and Jesse have built more than a company, they’ve built a team. Designers, cabinet makers, project managers, site supervisors, and craftsmen all working under one roof to create spaces that feel intentional, functional, and deeply personal to the families who live in them. It’s a collaborative process fueled by communication, transparency, and the belief that good work reflects the people behind it.
